Charlotte Howard built her career inside administrative work, not adjacent to it. The Evolutionary Assistant exists to help that profession meet AI on its own terms: practically, responsibly, and without losing what makes the role valuable.
The Story
From Inside the Role
Charlotte Howard is an Executive Business Partner with more than 22 years of experience partnering with C-suite executives across Fortune 500 organizations, including IBM, Cognizant, Equifax, and ServiceNow.
Starting her career as a Receptionist, Charlotte worked her way up from Administrative Assistant to Executive Assistant and Executive Business Partner, giving her firsthand insight into every stage of the administrative profession and what it takes to build a successful career.
Charlotte holds a Professional Certificate of Executive Business Assistant and an AI Mastery Credential. She has been a speaker for the Executive Assistants Organization's Behind Every Leader Conference in 2025 and 2026, as well as the 2026 EA Alchemy: AI + HI Conference. She is a 2026 Black Leaders Worldwide Women to Watch honoree and a two-time Admin Awards Finalist, recognized for the Above the Call Award in 2025 and the Spirit Award in 2026.
Charlotte was also selected for the 2026 Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center's Milestone Circles cohort and is a member of the 2026 Influential Women cohort. She is a published contributor to Influential Women magazine, where she has shared insights on artificial intelligence and the evolving role of Executive Assistants.
Beyond her professional career, Charlotte is the founder of The Evolutionary Assistant and the creator of HER ERA Magazine, her own publication dedicated to women's growth, reinvention, and empowerment. Through HER ERA Magazine, she explores topics including artificial intelligence, career evolution, and the opportunities available to women as they navigate new chapters in their personal and professional lives.
Her mission is to empower administrative professionals with the skills, confidence, and AI knowledge needed to thrive in today's evolving workplace, increase their strategic impact, and become trusted strategic business partners to the executives they support.
As the author of The Evolutionary Assistant, Charlotte connects executive partnership and administrative leadership with practical AI and human judgment. Her speaking, professional development, and community resources are built for the people doing this work every day.
